I am 48 years old and currently being treated for Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia and Lead Poisoning. Even though everyone asks me I have no idea how I got the Lead Poisoning - I don't think I chewed paint as a kid.
My husband is Ed. I love him dearly and he has been a phenomenal support and inspiration while I work on "cleansing" myself. I have two fantastic kids, Sheree and Nick. Ed, Sheree and Nick all knit.
Knitting has saved my life. During the dark days of my illness (which I refuse to give into) it has calmed me, encouraged me and allowed me to accomplish something for myself or others to enjoy. Knitting is a gift.
We live on a small hobby farm(13 acres). Coming from only having lived in large cities, it was a shock at first. Mostly the bugs. I love the farm. Being in the country makes me realize how much life there is all around us - the country is peacefully still and vibrantly buzzing with life at the same time....best of all no traffic, no road rage, you can see the stars at night and hear the cicadas.
Being closer to the natural cycles of life is awe inspiring. The explosion of green in the spring, the muffled stillness of winter (where our snow stays white) is something that just can't be beat. I am home.
